Woodstock Folk Festival

July 23, 2009

Dear Performers and Other Festival Participants,

On behalf of the Board of the Woodstock Folk Festival, I would like to thank you for making our 24th Annual a huge success!

All of our performers were wonderful; we enjoyed hearing you and you drew a great audience. We appreciate all of your efforts in publicizing your performance in Woodstock, bringing family and friends, preparing for it, and coming to Woodstock. We know you have very busy schedules, but we appreciate your participation in our Festival. The evaluations we received were overwhelmingly positive and many people told us how much they enjoyed each of your performances and the variety overall. We especially appreciate how many of you stayed with us for the entire day, listening to other performers, talking with our audience, and joining us for the All-Sing. We hope you had safe, hassle-free trips to your next destination.

Congratulations again to our Lifetime Achievement Award honoree, Michael Smith! And Michael, please thank your family for joining us on Sunday; we're so glad they could celebrate you and the beauty of your music with us.

Thank you also to all of you who assisted in other ways with our Festival. Whether it was providing excellent sound for our performers, serving as MC, coordinating with performers, assisting with publicity, or helping to bring the artists to Woodstock, you were an invaluable part of our 2009 Festival. Please be sure to mark your calendars now for our 25th/Silver Anniversary Festival on Sunday, July 18, 2010; we hope you can assist us again next year. Check our web site, WoodstockFolkFestival.org, for updates as we proceed.

I have already thanked our board, but I want to thank you again for all of your hard work during the past year and on the day of the Festival. It was a beautiful day with fabulous music and you made it happen!

Take care and have a great summer!

Warmly,

Carol Obertubbesing
President, Woodstock Folk Festival
