Dennis Warner

Dennis Warner

Dennis Warner (12:30 p.m.) – Americana singer-songwriter, is recognized for his crafty wit, skillful musicianship, and the special ability of captivating an audience. His unique blend of music and humor continually brings him to well over 100 cities each year. From his home in Minnesota, he has traveled through every U.S. state.

Accompanying his smooth vocals with his six and twelve-string guitars, Dennis has performed his adult/family-oriented concerts at major theaters and festivals and in small towns. He hosted Jammin’ with Dennis Warner, a special live radio show broadcast on Public Radio affliated stations, and has been featured on numerous tv and radio programs, including River City Folk.

While Dennis is widely thought of for his moving interpretations of songs written by others, he is also a respected songwriter. His biggest honor was being invited to give a concert at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. during a special concert series spotlighting the “best” of the “unknown” songwriters. He’s been a “New Folk” finalist for songwriting at Kerrville and has appeared many times at Nashville’s famed writers’ club, the Bluebird Café.

Two Way Street Coffee House’s Dave Humphreys said of Dennis, “Great songs, contagious energy, and engaging personality make Dennis Warner an outstanding entertainer. Add his smooth vocals and solid guitar work and you’ve got a fantastic show!”

One of Warner’s songs, “Beads on One String,” evolved into a children’s picture book, now in its fourth printing. As educators began using the book in their classrooms, “The Beads on One String Project” was born as a meaningful and fun way to teach kids about the negative effects of bullying and the positive effects of recognizing our “connectedness” in the world.

Dennis Warner will perform on both the Festival’s Main Stage and in the Children’s Area.
