Appearing in the Kids Area at 1:30 p.m.
Multi-instrumentalists Gary Plazyk and Amy Beth will share their talents at the Kid’s Area this year.
Gary Plazyk has played 29 years more or less, off and on. He also performs in the group Bear Creek, and has participated in Civil War and pioneer events, Morris Dancing, and Amy Beth & Friends as part of the “house band.”
Amy Beth has performed in the area over 30 years and co-founded the Woodstock Folk Festival. She served as president and artistic director for many years.
Gary Plazyk and Amy Beth, along with third member Neal Brown (who is working at “Festival Central” today) have performed as part of the Kishwaukee Ramblers for over five years. At one of their performances you might hear a number of instruments played, including fiddle, mountain dulcimer, autoharp, guitar, cello, hammered dulcimer, concertina, hurdy gurdy didgeridoo, jews harp, clackamore and noseflute.
Stop by and share the fun of making music.
