Lojo Russo is described as a songwriter with “a lot of lyrical power”, a guitarist with “powerful playing” and a vocalist with “one hell of a voice”. With raw energy she moves from sweet folk to roots rock without missing a beat. On stage she combines her sense of music with a sense of humor—sometimes outrageous, sometimes intense, always original.

Our featured performer this month is none other than Masthouse's own Gregory Morris. Greg is a veritable juke box with a repertoire that runs the gamut from Pearl Jam to Loudon Wainwright III. His percussive strumming and resonant voice wrap it all up in his own style.
And he knows a lot of jokes, too!

If one were to judge solely by appearances, Pamela Richardson might be dismissed as just another folk singer with an atypical but lovely alto voice. But those first observations can be deceiving. Though her songs are lyrical and steeped with emotion, Richardson foregoes the quixotic tradition of the folk singer and instead writes songs of the heart. Love and loss in all their myriad shades make up her palette, and she paints her stories masterfully.

Folksinger Anna Stange offers upbeat programs featuring traditional folk music to audiences all across the United States from Seldovia, Alaska, to Key West, Florida. From ballads to singalongs, her performances feature old favorites from the American folk tradition to newer songs she's written, and some gathered along her travels. Accompanying herself on guitar, banjo, mountain dulcimer, and simple folk instruments, Anna's easy going and welcoming style focuses on fun and appeals to audiences of all ages.

Our featured performer this month is Masthouse's own Andy Andrick, who will probably invite some of his friends to join him to enhance his eclectic repertoire.

Don Mast, the founder of the feast himself. Don is primarily a singer with an impressive repertoire of old songs he's collected, but expect him to pick up his autoharp. And he'll be asking you to join in as well, so bring your singing voice.

Small Potatoes,
the Chicago based folk duo of Jacquie Manning and Rich Prezioso, say it has taken them years of careful indecision to develop a repertoire they describe as “Celtic to Cowboy.” Superb musicianship and showmanship, award-winning songwriting, and a strong sense of tradition has made them, as Dirty Linen Magazine said, “One of the most polished, inventive, and entertaining shows on the circuit.”
